Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. We accept all dental insurance providers, including the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). Whenever possible, we coordinate and submit claims on your behalf to make the process stress-free.
All dental hygiene and dental care are provided right in your loved one’s room—whether bedside or chairside—so there’s no need to travel offsite for routine care.
If an urgent issue arises, we work closely with mobile dentists who can provide bedside care, including assessments for pain, infection, or trauma.
Most clients receive preventive care every 3 months, especially when independent oral hygiene is no longer possible. Regular visits help prevent harmful bacteria from building up, reducing the risk of inflammation, infection, abscesses, and pain.
Yes. Oral assessments are essential whether or not natural teeth are present. We evaluate all tissues in the mouth, as well as the head and neck, to ensure there are no abnormalities, lesions, or areas of discomfort. Maintaining a healthy, pain-free mouth is key to dignity, comfort, and quality of life.
Tooth loss can occur for many reasons, including untreated cavities, poor oral hygiene, lack of regular care, diet, or even genetics. An oral assessment helps us determine the cause and discuss management options to preserve comfort and wellbeing.
In BC, Dental Hygienists can provide conservative, non-invasive treatments to manage cavities, broken teeth, and lost fillings. These options are explained fully and are ideal when traditional dental procedures may not be safe or appropriate due to health conditions or stage of life. All treatments are provided bedside, with referrals to our mobile dentist when further care is needed.
